Hi John, Thank you for all the music all these years. I have 69 Ray Charles albums. documented, edited and in chronological order including box sets. I'm missing two albums: 1965 Together Again (CW Meets R&B) 1968 A Portrait Of Ray If you could please post these, I would be forever appreciative.
John, Like you I am a long time dedicated collector of the hits (see name Hit Parade) I also have collected the top songs for 50 years, but different than you. I transcribed my first chart on July 14, 1951, and I loved the songs so much that I began to wonder "what music came before this", and I paid a library to photocopy all the weekly Billboard charts back through 1940, then I built annual charts and began collecting those hits. So my 50 years covers January 1940 through January 1990, but I have much more than that.
You have been very generous to me over the years; maybe I can give something back. Would you consider giving me an email address (here) so that maybe we could talk a little bit about collecting music in general? Anyway, again, thanks for all the music all these years :-)
